FAIRBURN, Ga. -- Police in Fairburn are looking for a man accused of trying to rob a gas station at gunpoint.

The incident happened shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday, when the suspect burst into the Shell station at 795 Senoia Road and demanded money.

However, the suspect did not get away with any money or property, as the gas station clerk refused to comply with his demands, according to Fairburn Police spokesman Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo.

The attempted robbery was captured by security cameras inside the station. Police describe the suspect as a white man, about 5-feet-8-inches tall and with brown hair. He was wearing khaki shorts, a white shirt and sunglasses during the robbery, and carried a small silver handgun.

The suspect drove a green Buick LeSabre with Alabama license plate 4A29D81. The car was reported stolen in Alabama, Bazydlo said.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Fairburn Police at 770-964-1441.
