UNION CITY, Ga. -- This year's Children's Chair-ity Event raised more than $72,000 for some deserving kids in metro Atlanta.
The fundraiser, which is held annually in Peachtree City, collects money for Christian City. The Union City-based organization has provided a loving and nurturing home for more than 1,000 abused, abandoned and neglected kids.

Businesses and community members gathered at the Children's Chair-ity Event to mingle, eat and participate in a silent auction. The grand prize was a 1968 Mustang GT Convertible donated by the Kiwanis Club of McIntosh Trail. Mike Martin, president of Line Creek Civitan, was the lucky winner.
Due to this year's successes, Christian City is already gearing up for its next Children's Chair-ity Event, which will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013.
